A family physician is your center between all of your specialist visits and hospita A Family Physician (also known as a family doctor or family practice physician) has three years of residency training after medical school in many different fields including pediatrics, OBGYN (obstetrics and gynecology), and dermatology. WHAT IS BOARD CERTIFICATION?
